Although GBIPS started in 1995, the company has a history dating back to 1944 when a former Navy Inspector, his brother, and a friend started export packing and crating in Brooklyn, NY. Shipping care packages was it. In 1954, when Lee Schiller came aboard, Export Packing, Etc. was in the middle of Military Packing Contracts with the Corps of Engineers, the Signals Corps and GSA. Export Packing, Etc. was also handling a large portion of the commissary shipments overseas thru the Brooklyn Army terminal. The company came to Harrisburg, PA as Direct Delivery Packing with Lee directing the receiving, inspecting, and container loading for the New Cumberland Army Depot.

In 1980, G & B Packing, Inc. was formed to do the commissary deliveries to the new location at Mechanicsburg Navy Depot. We handled as many as a million cases a month of food and general MDSE. In 1995, that operation ceased and in October, 1995 GB International Packing Services was officially formed. Since then, we have become a major player in the military packing field, as well as supplier of tactical and general items that the Navy buys from us. We supply the major defense depots throughout the world from our Harrisburg, PA warehouse.
